Oil leak but nothing on ground

I have an oil leak but it is not leaking on the ground. The car does not smoke nor make any noise. It does jump every now and than, other than that it drives fine. In a period of driving an hour it may jump twice and sometimes I can drive all day and it doesn\'t jump at all.

A small oil leak into the engine will not necessarily cause smoke but can trigger a misfire in the engine which would cause the car to jump. Also have to consider that the oil may not be leaking in enough quantity to drip down onto the ground and instead may still be on the sides of the engine. If your oil leak grows in quantity, eventually you will see smoke from the car and or oil on the ground.
