blue smoke in exhaust

Hello, my '93 GMC sierra is blowing blue smoke when I start it up, but then after a few seconds it clears up, could that be oil or just burning a little extra fuel from start up? It doesn't run like that anytime other than when it first fires up.

Sounds like the valve stem oil seals have worn out as that would cause the symptom at startup. Oil drips into the cylinders when parked causing the blue smoke on startup. Here is an url to a video discussing the symptom https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ob_4-F-m1FI
